Kathmandu : CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal has appealed to launch a campaign to unify the entire communist and democratic movement.

In a statement issued on Monday on the occasion of the 70th birth anniversary of the then UML General Secretary Madan Bhandari, Nepal appealed to the CPN (UML) to launch a campaign to unify the entire communist and democratic movement in a new vein by ending organizational chaos and injustice.

He said that it was unfortunate that the current direction was to destroy the basic values ​​of democracy and attack the constitution in the name and leadership of the Communist Party.

“It is a bitter reality and a sad state of affairs for all of us to be in the name and leadership of the Communist Party, which is hurting the national interest and destroying the basic values ​​of democracy and attacking the constitution by taking a right-wing path against democracy,” Nepal wrote.

He said that the party and the government were not run in accordance with the constitution, party constitution, rules and principles of the country on the basis of the people’s trust gained by the Communist Party through peaceful and competitive politics.

Leader Nepal also urged the party leaders and cadres to embark on a campaign to unify the entire communist and democratic movement in a new vein.
