“I will compete for the President again” :Deuba

Kathmandu : Nepali Congress President Sherhadur Deuba has given a clear indication that he will be re-elected. On the second day after the Congress approved the party’s general convention schedule from September 1 to 4, Deuba called a central member close to him for a discussion. Deuba said that he would be re-elected as the chairperson while holding discussions with the central members of province 1 at Budhanilkantha on Saturday morning.

‘The general convention is held according to the revised schedule. I will compete for the chairmanship again. The constitution was implemented under my leadership. I held a three-tier election.

We won the lowest number of seats in the House of Representatives even though we got the highest number of popular votes, ‘said a central member who attended the meeting, quoting Deuba.

The central member also told Nepal page that Deuba wanted to be re-elected as there is still a lot of work to be done in the party. ‘The chairman didn’t get to do much in his first term. He said that he would make the party the biggest party in the country now, ‘said the leader.

Joint General Minister Sunil Thapa, Central Members Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, Meen Vishwakarma, Sita Gurung, Baburam Basnet, Dr. Deela Sangraula, Sujata Pariyar and others were present. Deuba instructed the central members to work for victory in the general convention. At the same time, they have scheduled separate meetings with the central members of the provinces.
