‘I am fully committed to national unity and integrity’: DPM Mahato

Kathmandu, June 6: Janata samajwadi Party (JSP) senior leader and Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Rajendra Mahato has corrected his controversial statement.

Mahato’s statement on the need to create a multi-national state was corrected in a statement issued on Saturday night after widespread criticism. Deputy Prime Minister Mahato has said that he is committed to national unity, integrity and national unity. Stating that he is fully committed to national unity, integrity and national unity, Mahato has made it clear that no one should be confused about this.

Following Mahato’s statement, a student organization close to UML’s Madhav Kumar Nepal had burnt his idol in Baneshwor, Kathmandu on Saturday.
Similarly, Opposition Parties and UML15 leaders, including Madhav Kumar Nepal, as well as various organizations and social media had strongly protested on Mahato’s statement.Leaders of the establishment party of the CPN-UML also protested against Mahato’s statement and demanded correction.
