Hearing on the writ petition against the expansion of the cabinet in the bench of Chief Justice Rana and Justice Dhungana

Kathmandu, : In the Supreme Court on the writ petition that the election government should not expand the Council of Ministers

A bench of Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JBR and Prakash Dhungana will hear the case today.
A bench of Justice Ishwar Khatiwada had called the two sides for a discussion on June 22 seeking a reason for the expansion of the cabinet.

Senior advocate Dinesh Tripathi, one of the writ petitioners, said that the interim order will be discussed in the writ petition against the cabinet expansion on Tuesday.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had expanded the cabinet on June 6 and 7. The government, which was dissolved and turned into a caretaker government, had filed a writ petition at the apex court saying that the cabinet should not be expanded.
