Government becomes irresponsible dealing with natural disasters: Opposition Coalition

Kathmandu, June 17:Opposition top leaders have called on the government to protect civilians from floods, landslides and inundation and make immediate arrangements for the displaced.

The party leaders issued a joint statement on Thursday demanding immediate and effective rescue and relief work for the flood, landslide and drowning victims.

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, CPN (Maoist centre) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda, CPN-UML leader Madhav Kumar Nepal, JSP Chairman Upendra Yadav and Rastriya Janamorcha Vice President Durga Poudel have issued a statement accusing the government of being irresponsible in dealing with natural calamities. They also urged all party cadres and organizations to help the victims by contributing to the rescue and relief activities from their respective places.
