Edu. Minister’s directive to confiscate textbooks printed without a map of Limpiyadhura

Kathmandu June 9: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Krishna Gopal Shrestha has instructed to confiscate the textbooks sold by printing old maps without Limpiyadhura and Lipulek.

Minister Shrestha has directed to confiscate the book sold after printing the old map.

Minister gave the instruction after receiving information that some private publishers had sold the book by printing an old map of Nepal mentioning the new edition.

At the 88th meeting of the Curriculum Development and Evaluation Council held on Wednesday, Minister Shrestha directed the Curriculum Development Center to take maximum action by bringing book publishers and sellers under the purview of law.

He directed the Curriculum Development Center to immediately seek clarification from the publishers and distributors of books selling books by misleading the government by mentioning the old maps, confiscating the books sold in the old maps and disobeying the directives of the ministry.

After receiving information that the publisher and the seller had changed the cover of the old book and sold the book, Minister Shrestha directed to bring it under the scope of action. “You should monitor it. If it is found that the book was sold by mentioning an old map that could inflame the country, take immediate action by the police administration,” was the instruction of Minister Shrestha.
