Dissolution of the House of Representatives Hearing: The writ petitioner will also debate on Sunday also

Kathmandu : The issue of dissolving the House of Representatives has been debated in the Constitutional Court of the Supreme Court for Friday. The legal practitioners on behalf of the writ petitioner had debated today. The time allotted for the writ petitioner’s lawyer is still two hours and 35 minutes.

Chief Justice Cholendra Shamsher JBR adjourned the sitting for two hours and 35 minutes, informing the writ petitioner’s lawyer. Today, Senior Advocate Shrihari Aryal, Advocate Dr. Din Mani Pokhrel, Sunil Pokhrel, Tikaram Bhattarai, Senior Advocate Mukti Pradhan and Gopal Krishna Ghimire were present. The rest of the writ petition’s lawyer will be debated again on Sunday as there is still time for the legal practitioners to debate.

In today’s debate, Chief Justice JBR asked the writ petitioner’s advocate Din Mani Pokharel that parliament or the President’s Office is a place where the Prime Minister does not trust me? That is the question.

In response, Advocate Pokharel had said that Prime Minister Oli’s claim in Article 76, Clause 5 of the Constitution was not enough.Advocate Pokharel said that if a vote of confidence is taken within 30 days after a minority government, the Prime Minister will not have a majority.
