Court decision unexpected & unconsitiunal : UML

Kathmandu : Spokesperson of the ruling Party CPN-UML Pradip Gyawali comment that the order of the Supreme Court is unexpected.

The court has annulled the cabinet expansion held on Tuesday 21st and 27th Jesth 2078 BS. Gyawali has responded that this order has turned the national politics into a complicated turn.

‘The court order is unexpected. This has pushed national politics to a more complex juncture, ”he said.

Gyawali also said that further discussions will be held on the court order. Immediately after the court’s decision, a meeting of UML leaders and ministers held at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar concluded that the Supreme Court had ruled against the constitution.

Earlier in the day, the caretaker government had ruled that the new cabinet could not be expanded after the dissolution of parliament.
The supreme court has overturned more than half a dozen decisions, appointments and orders made by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in the last two weeks, calling them unconstitutional.
Today’s court decision has reduced the 25-member cabinet to five members. Besides, the Mahanta-Rajendra faction of the Janata Samajwadi Party, which participated in the government with great enthusiasm, has come out. After Thakur’s party joined the government, the party has reached the stage where one faction will take action against the other and the party itself will be divided.
