Kathmandu June 11 : Eighteen people, including Narayan Wagle, Khagendra Sangraula, Yug Pathak, Sanjeev Upreti, Archana Thapa and Bhaskar Gautam, have been arrested.
Wagle, Sangraula, Pathak and 18 others had reached Baluwatar at 11 am on Friday to protest against the government’s plan to give affiliation to a pro-government medical college.
Police have said that the police had controlled them against the injunction.
According to the agitation, the campaigner was arrested and kept at the Maligaun Police Office. He was arrested from Naxal-Bhatbhateni area.
According to the Metropolitan Police Post, Maligaun, they were taken under control after violating the curfew and trying to break the restricted area.
