Kathmandu June 4: The government’s decision to exploit the theft and sell it for a penny should be reversed. It is said that stones are dug from 92 places from the lower belt of Mahabharata to the lower coastal area of Chure. Yadav has asked serious questions – what could be more irresponsible than the government?
President Yadav made this statement in an interview with a daily newspaper.
First president of the Republic of Nepal and Chure Conservation Campaigner, said that the government’s policy of legal export of stone, ballast and sand was treasonous. He said that such a decision was unconstitutional and un-national as well as a great crime against the Terai-Madhes and future generations.
Yadav says – Chure is our lifeline. It is rich in biodiversity. We should not measure its ecology, but the rulers and governments of different periods have their eyes on Chure.
