Chief Minister Bhatta got a vote of confidence, UML’s Oli faction and JSP only in opposition

Kailali, June 8 : Far-Western Province government Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatta has got a vote of confidence. Bhatta’s government has been spared after the UML’s Madhav Nepal faction backed him in today’s Provincial assembly polls.

There were only 30 votes in favor of the government and 9 against. Seven members of the UML’s Oli faction and two members of the Janata Samajwadi Party had voted against the government.
Nepali Congress did not participate in the polls. The UML parliamentary party was divided on the issue of supporting the Far Western government.

Despite the decision of the Madhav Nepal faction to vote in favor of the government on the basis of majority of Parliamentary Party, the parliament of the Oli faction has voted in the opposition as per the instructions of the Center Instruction Of Party chairman KP Sharma Oli.
