2,400 new cases of coronavirus, 34 deaths

Kathmandu : The country recorded 2,400 new cases of coronavirus in the last 24 hours. The Ministry of Health and Population shared the information that 7,010 people underwent PCR test while the antigen tested was conducted on 4,686 people in this period.

Thirty four people lost lives to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, thereby reaching the fatality update 8,657.

It resulted in the coronavirus infection among 1,688 and 713 respectively. With the latest record, the infection update reached 619,635. Similarly, a total of 25,574 have undergone antigen test. So far, PCR test has been conducted on more than 3 million people while 138,313 underwent antigen test, the Ministry added. The number of people getting recovery in the last 24 hours stands at 3,660. It reached the recovery 553,342. The recovery rate is 89.3 percent.

The information shared by the Health Ministry further stated that more than 2.5 million Nepalis got first dose of anti-Covid vaccine. Similarly, the number of Nepalis getting second dose of the vaccine stands at 731,653.
