Kathmandu 14 May : Prime Minister Oli has proposed to join the governmentalong to JSP Chairman Mahanta Thakur and senior leader Rajendra Mahato . Oli has not discussed with Baburam Bhattarai, chairman of the JSPA, and Upendra Yadav, another chairman. Bhattarai and Yadav wanted to remove Oli, while Thakur and Mahato are in favor of Oli’s continuity.
Chanda Chaudhary, an MP close to Thakur-Mahato and an executive member of the JSP, informed nepalpagethat she would not join the government without addressing her agenda even if she was offered to join the government.
“Our main objective is to address the agenda of the drafting committee for the amendment of the constitution, including the release of leaders and activists,” Chaudhary said. Until then, our demands must be met. Otherwise, we will not go to the government. ‘
Thakur and Mahato of JSP wanted Oli’s continuity because an alternative government could not be formed. President Vidyadevi Bhandari had given time till 9 pm on Thursday to form an alternative government. Despite the Bhattarai-Yadav faction’s efforts for an alternative government, Thakur-Mahato had informed the President that they would remain neutral.
