Kathmandu, April 22: The Madhav Kumar Nepal faction of the ruling CPN-UML has decided to respond to the clarification sought by the Prime Minister and Chairman KP Sharma Oli and challenge it legally and politically if action is taken.

According to Ganesh Pahadi, an emergency meeting of the Nepal Group of Parliamentarians in Kathmandu decided to respond to Oli’s explanation and fight a legal battle.

After the meeting of the Nepal group of parliamentarians staying at a hotel in New Baneshwor, Pahadi gave an explanation, defended himself legally and also fought a political battle. This is mainly a political battle.

On Tuesday, Oli had asked 27 members of the House of Representatives and five members of the Karnali provincial Assembly for clarification. Immediately after the explanation, an emergency meeting of the Nepal group of parliamentarians concluded that they would not surrender against the factionalism of the Oli group, said MP Ram Kumari Jhankri. “It simply came to our notice then. If we don’t give an explanation, we are not immune. So we go to court.

Jhankri also said that she would not attend the meeting of the General Convention Organizing Committee convened by Chairman Oli. It has been stated in today’s meeting that the stand of the Nepal Group, which was known only to the UML before June 12, 2075 BS and will not sit in the additional meeting on March 11, 2075 BS, remains the same.

After Chairman Oli collectively asked the leaders for clarification, the Nepal group had no choice but to form another party or surrender.
