Kathmandu 30 April: The Board of Directors (CCMC) has decided to operate only 13 of the 35 checkpoints with India and close 22 of them. The government has decided to operate only Kakadvitta, Jogwani, Pashupatinagar, Birtamod, Gaur, Birgunj, Belahiya, Krishnanagar, Jamunah, Jhulaghat, Kolughat, Gauriphanta and Gaddachauki checkpoints.
The number of people entering Nepal from India has increased due to the recent outbreak of corona in India. Antigen testing has not even been possible there due to lack of resources.
Today’s meeting has decided to tighten the ban in the districts. A meeting held at Singha Durbar on Friday has decided to open only one-fourth of all government offices in the districts where the ban has been imposed.
It has been decided to stop all public works and to instruct the workers and employees to operate within the industrial premises.
