Prachanda-Nepal group submits Signatures of 287 central members to Election Commission

The election Commission has received signatures of 287 central members of the Prachanda-Nepal faction of Communist Party of Nepal (NCP).

The Prachanda-Nepal faction has submitted the decisions to the Election Commission of the central committee meeting held on Tuesday.

 A team comprising central members Surendra Pandey and Muktinarayan Pradhan went to the Election Commission and presented decisions that includes the elimination of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli from the post.

In the letter submitted to the commission, there are names of 290 members of the 447-member central committee of the NCP have been mentioned. Of which, 287 signatures are included. Leader Pandey has informed that the remaining three signatures are not included since they are out of the valley.

A meeting of the Prachanda-Madhav group held on Wednesday had decided to exterminate Chairman Oli from the post by taking disciplinary action and elect Madhav Kumar Nepal as the chairman. This group has submitted the same decision to the Election Commission.

Earlier on Tuesday, the KP Oli faction had informed the Election Commission that the NCP Central Committee had been expanded from 447 members to 1,199 members.

After both sides of the NCP send a letter to the commission with their claims, now, the commission will have to decide which group is authorized.
