NC protesting nationwide against the government, Today

Kathmandu, Dec 14:

The Nepali Congress (NC) is protesting nationwide against the government. Yesterday, NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba had appealed all Nepalese people to participate in the demonstration rally by maintaining a physical distance.

The protests have been theatrical to the arrest of its senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel during the investiture of a bridge in his home district Tanahun. Deuba has also advised to make the demonstration grand, systematic and peaceful.

As per the protest schedule, Party President Sher Bahadur Deuba will address a protest rally in Hetauda, Senior leader Ram Chandra Paudel in Kathmandu, and youth leader Gagan Thapa will address the demonstration in Kailali, said Spokesperson Bishwa Prakash Sharma.

Similarly, Vice President Bimalendra Nidhi will be addressing the demonstration in Bhaktapur, Treasurer Sita Devi Yadav in Lalitpur. Dr. Shashanka Koirala will be addressing the protest rally in Biratnagar, Deputy General Secretary Dr Prakash Sharan Mahat in Jhapa and former Vice President Gopalman Shrestha will be addressing the demonstration in Kavre. Leader Krishna Prasad Sitaula is in home isolation due to COVID-19. According to a press note issued by the NC, it will protest around 1 million people in the objection rally against the government today.

Similarly, former Deputy General Secretary Prakash Man Singh will lead the rally in Dhanusha, Deputy General Secretary in Dhankuta, Dr. Ram Sharan Mahat in Chitwan, Arjun Narasingh KC in Kaski, Chitra Lekha Yadav in Saptari, said Nepali Congress.
