Kathmandu, December 22:

The Prachanda-Madhav offshoot of the Communist Party of Nepal (CPN) has selected Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ as a leader of the parliamentary party.

After Madhav Kumar Nepal proposed Prachanda as the leader of the parliamentary party, the party leader has been unanimously selected.

The proposal was unanimously endorsed by lawmakers present at a Meeting held at Lhotse Hall in New Baleshwar on Wednesday.

After being elected as the leader of the parliamentary party, chair Prachanda has said that he will do his level best to keep democracy and the federal parliament flourished.

He has also said that he will focus on forming a new government in collaboration with all.
