Indian foreign secretary’s visit to Nepal on Nov-26-27

Kathmandu, November 24:

Foreign ministries of Nepal and India have announced that Indian Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla will pay an official visit to Nepal on November 26-27.

Foreign Secretary Bharat Raj Paudyal has invited the Foreign Secretary of India, Harsh Vardhan Shringla. It is a two-day official visit to Nepal from November 26 to 27. According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs the visit is in extension of the regular exchange of high level visits between the two friendly nationals.

In a statement, India’s Ministry of External Affairs said the Shringla’s visit to Nepal, first since he assumed charge, is in keeping with the tradition of regular high-level exchanges between the two countries and the priority India attaches to its relations with Nepal.

During the visit, Foreign Secretary will meet his counterpart and other Nepalese dignitaries to discuss the wide ranging bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

India has historical and civilization linkages with Nepal. In recent years, bilateral cooperation has strengthened, with several major infrastructure and cross-border connectivity projects completed with India’s assistance. The visit will be an opportunity to further advance our bilateral ties.
