Gov of India provides 28 ICU ventilators to Nepal

Kathmandu, November 8:

The Government of India has provided 28 ICU ventilators to the Government of Nepal.  Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Quatra handed over the ventilators to H.E. Mr. Bhanubhakta Dhakal, Minister for Health and Population of Nepal, during a program at the Ministry of Health and Population.

After handing over the ventilator, Ambassador Quatra has said that both the neighboring countries should support each other to battel against COVID 19 pandemic. He also reaffirmed India’s commitment to provide all necessary help in this regard. He has said that the support extended by the Indian government and the Indian people to Nepal was a spirit of positive cooperation.

He adds the two countries have been cooperating with each other since the beginning of the fatal disease, Covid 19 and would continue to do so in the future as well.

Minister for Health, Dhakal thanked him for his support. Minister Dhakal has said that the assisted ventilator will be sent to different needed hospitals in various places. Noting that the infection rate is on the rise, he has said that he would send ventilators to critically ill patients.
