The writers have been called for submission of books for the Bhupi Award this year. The Dhawalagiri Literary Foundation Baglung called for book submission giving the deadline till December 10.

The management committee meeting of the Foundation held on Monday took this decision. It has been conferring the award on literary association and litterateur on a rotational basis. Foundation Chairman Kaji Roshan informed that they were honouring writer this year. The award carries the purse of Rs 25,000. It is provided on the occasion of Bhupi birth anniversary on Poush 10 (December 25 this year).

The evaluation on the literary creation would be based on the book review, added Chairman Roshan. Litterateur and then rector at Tribhuvan University, Prof Dr Sudha Tripathi, had got the Bhupi Award for her research-based book on Bhupi Sherchan for 2075 BS.

Even a ‘Dhawalagiri literature honour’ is conferred on Bhupi birth anniversary.
