Nepal records 1,954 new cases of corona virus with 11 death

Kathmandu, October 29:

A total of 1,954 new cases of corona virus have been reported in Nepal on Wednesday. There is sharp decline of number of people testing PCR.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, Prof. Dr. Jageshwar Gautam has informed that there is 1,954 infected people in 8,248 PCR tests sample. So far, the total number of infected people has reached 162,254. The number of active infected people has decreased to 39,643 throughout the country from yesterday. Of which, 7 thousand 709 are in institutional isolation. Similarly, 31 thousand 934 people are living in home isolation. While the number of active infections decreases during PCR testing, the number of cures is higher. In the last 24 hours, 2,984 people have been infected.

According to spokesperson Gautam, the number of those discharged so far is 121,824. A total of 843 people have been infected in Kathmandu Valley on Wednesday. Of them, 696 are in Kathmandu, 118 in Lalitpur and 29 in Bhaktapur district.  Moreover, eleven infected people have died in the last 24 hours.
