Coronavirus infections continue to increase: hospitals struggling to accommodate critically ill patients

Kathmandu , October 20:

A total of 3,093 new infections were added on Tuesday only. According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 13,861 PCR tests showed infection in 3,093 people.

According to  spokesperson of the ministry, Prof.Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, a total number of infected people has reached 139,139 so far.

The number of active infected people has reached 41,775 on Tuesday. There are 13,559 people sitting in institutional isolation and 28,196 people in home isolation. Hospitals are not being able to sustain themselves because of the increasing number of serious infected cases of Corona virus cases.

Gautam has stated that the number of people discharged is 2,108 in the last 24 hours.

So far, the number of discharges has reached 96,609.

 Major cities such as Kathmandu, Bhaktapoor and Lalitpoor are particularly badly affected district, with hospitals struggling to accommodate critically ill patients.

 Corona infection continues to surge in many places of Nepal. More than 1,000 infected people are growing every single day.
