Kathmandu, October 21:

In Nepal a total of 5, thousand 7 hundred and 43 people are struggling to cope with a Covid-19 infection and 26 patients succumb to Covid 19 today only. This is the highest number of infections in a single day so far.

According to a regular press conference organized by the Ministry of Health and Population, 20,118 PCR tests were conducted today.

 A total number of infected people has reached 144,476 so far, said Prof. Dr. spokesperson Jageshwar Gautam.

According to him, the number of active infected people across the country has reached 44,476 on Wednesday only.

People in Institutional isolation has touched 14 thousand 676 . Moreover, there are 29,800 in home isolation. The number of people discharged is 2,996 in the last 24 hours  So far, the number of discharges has reached 99,605.
