17 people succumb to COVID-19 in last 24 hrs : Total death – 904

Kathmandu, October 29:

A total of 1,615 persons have been infected with corona virus in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours. Of which, 704 are women and 911 are men.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 1,338 people are in Kathmandu, 180 in Lalitpur and 97 in Bhaktapur have tested positive for coronavirus. Nepal’s COVID-19 count has reached 164,718 in total.

According to the Ministry overall 9,769 sample tests were conducted across the country. A total of 3,038 individuals are discharged from the hospitals. So far, the number of people who have recovered from the infection has reached 124,862 in the country. Nepal currently has 38,952 active cases. Similarly, 2,689 people are sitting in quarantine. A total of 304 COVID-19 patients are undergoing treatment in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and 76 are in ventilator support.

A total of 17 people succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours. Therefore, COVID-19 death tally in the country has touched 904.
