Birgunj, Sept 15

A woman receiving treatment for coronavirus infection in an ICU bed of Narayani Hospital in Birgunj died today.

The 55-year-old woman is originally from Dumarwana in Bara. Suffering from high-fever and severe pneumonia, the woman was admitted to the hospital on Monday, Hospital’s senior doctor Udaya Narayan Singh said. Her PCR test was conducted on Monday itself.

Dr Singh said that the woman died because of severe pneumonia and respiratory related issues.

The hospital said that the local administration is asked for the management of the dead body. —
