Three including a child rescued from India

Two Nepali women and a child, who were held captive for the past 10 months in India, have been rescued.

They have been freed at the initiative of an organization, Afanta Nepal. Maheshpur chapter of Afanta Nepal at Nawalparasi (West) with the support of Indian Police and local people’s representatives rescued them from a company located at Maharajgunj district of India and brought them to Nawalparasi.

Chapter Chief Padma Acharya told RSS that the organization rescued 22 and 17 year-old women and a four-year-old girl of Chitwan district safely and brough them to Nepal. The women had gone to India allured of good job and marriage. The women informed their families after they knew that the company owner was making preparation to sell them.

The four-year-old child is the daughter of the 22-year-old woman. The organization had carried out search operation after the relatives of the women filed complaint at Madi chapter of Afanta Nepal.
