Kathmandu, September 11:

PM and chairman of NCP, KP Sharma Oli will handle the Government for the whole period and the other chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Prachanda will handle the party with executive power. The Standing committee meeting has also decided to convene the unity national convention from 7-. 12 April 2021 and for the preparation of this convention, central committee meeting is scheduled to be held from 31 October – 2 November 2020.

This proposal was tabled at a meeting held at the Prime Minister’s residence between the two chairmen yesterday. Thirteen leaders, including senior leaders Jhala Nath Khanal and Madhav Kumar Nepal, expressed their views in the meeting. NCP spokesperson, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, informed that the meeting endorsed the proposal incorporating the written suggestions forwarded by the leaders of the task force.

The party will not interfere in the daily work of the government but the decision will be taken only after consulting the party on important issues. Therefore, the party is expected to function systematically.
