NMS Chairman Shuva S. Kandel along with 16 journalists awarded

Kathmandu, September 20:

The Government of Nepal has awarded 16 journalists on the occasion of Constitution Day ie 3rd of Ashoj. It is marked as the Fifth Constitution day, yesterday.

 The government has bestowed honorary titles, awards and medals to 16 journalists, including the chairman of the Nepal Media Society and the editor-in-chief of ABC Television, Shuva Shankar Kandel. Along with him Dr. Rajesh Raj Ahiraj, Sagar Pandit, Rajesh Kumar Aryal, Gobind Prasad Bhandari, Dharmendra Karna, Subhechchha Bindu Tuladhar, Chiranjeevi Maske,( Praval Janasewa Shri IV) is awarded with various honorary titles.

Kandel, a renowned writer, influential orator, and political analyst has written 18 books on various subjects including left politics and journalism. Two of his books are underway to be published. He has started his career as a journalist since 1991. Presently, he is the founder chairman and editor-in-chief of ABC News Television which has recently celebrated its 12th anniversary. Kandel started his career from his own publication “New Dhawlagiri, the first daily newspaper in the Dhawlagiri region.

Each year, the government of Nepal confers these titles upon various personalities for their contributions in various fields.
