Kathmandu, September 3:

Nepal’s new cases of corona virus count on Thursday touched 1,228 across the country. According to Prof. Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the Ministry of Health and Population, 13,413 samples are tested for PCR.

 Out of these new infected, 394 are females and 834 are males.

A total of 42 thousand 877 people have been infected across the country so far. The number of active infected cases is 18 thousand 413. There are 10 thousand 671 people in institutional isolation. Similarly, there are 7 thousand 742 people in home isolation. In Kathmandu Valley, 445 people have been infected. Likewise, in Kathmandu only, 357 infected people have been added. Moreover,there are 46 infected people in Lalitpur and 42 in Bhaktapur.

The death toll has reached 257.

Also, 917 infected people have been recovered and returned home in the last 24 hours. So far, 24,207 people have been recovered and returned home till date.
