Kathmandu, September 17:
Bamdev Gautam , the Vice President of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), has been nominated as a member of the National Assembly (NA).
President Vidyadevi Bhandari has nominated Gautam as a member of the National Assembly on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.
The cabinet meeting, on Monday, has recommended to the President for the nomination of Gautam. According to the Chief personal secretary to the president, Bhesharaj Adhikari, , Gautam has been nominated.
He has said that he would now inform the federal parliament.
We have come to know that Gautam is preparing to take oath as a member of the National Assembly at 4 pm on Thursday.
Gautam had lost, 2017 ,parliamentary elections. He was defeated by Nepali Congress’ Sanjay Gautam from Bardiya. Lots of criticisms have been made for this practice of the Government of Nepal. This is the second time that NA has nominated the member despite loss in the election.
