A 70 year woman has died in Banke due to corona virus infection while undergoing treatment in Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur.

Chief District Officer, Ram Bahadur Kurumbang has informed that he died at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital in Kohalpur.

The woman died at 10:30 on Thursday morning, according to the district CCMC.

The woman was admitted to a nursing home in Nepalgunj on Bhadra 3 after she was diagnosed with pneumonia in both her lungs.

She underwent a PCR test on the 3rd of Bhadra after seeing symptoms similar to corona.

Her corona positive report was received on Bhadra 5 .

She was then shifted to Nepalgunj Medical College.

She was kept on a ventilator from Bhadra 6 after her health condition started deteriorating.

Moreover, the number of deaths due to corona infection in Banke has reached six.
