Two swept away by rivers

Myagdi, Aug 7

A woman has been swept away by the local Ghark river at the border of Annapurna rural municipality-5 and 6 in Myagdi district.

Tikamati Pariyar in her late fifties of the rural municipality was washed away on Thursday evening while crossing the river, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Kiran Jung Kunwar.

A search has been launched for Pariyar, he said. Likewise, a 13-year-old boy was washed away by the Seti river in Doti district.

Arjun Khadayat was swimming when the incident occurred, said Janak Raj Pandey, chief of the district police office, Doti, adding that a search has been launched for the missing boy.
