Two die from COVID-19

Two people have died from COVID-19. A 108-year-old woman of Khairahani municipality-3 in East Chitwan died on Monday, said Dipak Tiwari, chief of the health office, Chitwan.

She was tested positive for the infection on Tuesday. Her swabs were collected after her relative was tested positive for the virus. Recently, her infected relative, who works at cancer hospital, had visited her. Swabs of those who had come in contact with the deceased were tested. Four of them who were caretaker of the deceased were tested positive for the infection, said the health office.

A team of Nepali Army cremated the mortal remains of the deceased. Likewise, a 61-year-old man of Hetauda Sub Metropolitan City-1 in Makawanpur district died from the infection, said Bhola Chaulagain, in-charge of an isolation ward in Hetauda-4. He died on Tuesday night.

The deceased is said to have been suffering from high blood pressure and kidney problems for long.
