Bhaktapur, Aug 6

A pedestrian died in a road accident at Wanti of Bhaktapur-Changu road section this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Sundari Suwal, 41, of Bhaktapur municipality-2, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police at Metropolitan Police Range, Bhaktapur, Deepak Giri.

The accident took place when a scooter State 3-02-015 Pa 7265 hit her on Wednesday. Injured Suwal died this morning while undergoing treatment at Neuro Hospital, Bansbari. She was referred to Neuro Hospital from Bir Hospital Trauma Centre. Police have arrested the motorcyclist Ashish Kari, 22, of Changunarayan municipality-6 and investigation into the case was underway, added Giri.
