Kathmandu , August 30:

In the last 24 hours, 1221 people have been infected with the corona virus. Spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, Prof. Dr. Jageshwar Gautam has said that 12 hundred and 17 people were infected in 12,717 samples test.

As per the information given in the regular corona press briefing held at the ministry, 348 women and 873 men have got corona infected today.  In Kathmandu Valley, 429 infected people have been added. Of these, 372 have been added in Kathmandu district only.

In Bhaktapur, 45 and in Lalitpur, 12 people have been infected.The number of active infected cases has reached 17 thousand 5 hundred 18. Accordingly, there are 10 thousand 612 in institutional isolation and 6 thousand 906 people are in home isolation. In the last 24 hours, 267 infected people have recovered and returned home. So far, 20,822 people have recovered and returned home. This is 54 percent of the total infected people.
