Kathmandu Valley Records 377 New Cases Of COVID-19, Highest For A Single Day

Kathmandu, Aug. 27: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) confirmed 377 new cases of COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley on Thursday. This is the highest single-day tally recorded by the Valley until now.  

In 12,629 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, as many as 377 persons were found with the virus infection in the Valley itself, said Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

According to ministry of health and populations of the new cases, 270 were detected in Kathmandu, 41 were detected in Bhaktapur and 66 were detected in Lalitpur.

Moreover, whopping 1,111 cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the nation on Thursday, taking the national tally to 35,529 including 20,073 cases of recovery and eight death cases.
