MUMBAI, Aug. 7 (Xinhua) — Firefighters cleared roads after a rain-triggered landslide in Mumbai, India on Thursday.

As heavy rains continue to lash the city, landslides have been reported from several areas of Mumbai.

India’s monsoon season runs from June to September. The city has recorded 331.08 mm rainfall, followed by 101.9 mm in the eastern suburbs and 76.03 mm in the western suburbs. Mumbai has also experienced strong winds at a speed of 106 km per hour (kmph).
