COVID-19 Update: Tally Hits 26,019 With 468 New Cases, 102 death

Kathmandu, Aug. 15:

The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 468 new cases of COVID-19 today.

In 11,047 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests conducted in the last 24 hours, as many as persons were found with the virus infection, informed Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson  of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

The new cases were detected in Chitwan, Banke, Bardiya, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Kavre, Dhanusa, Kavre, Dhanusa, Morang, Saptari, Siraha, Sunsari, Terhathum, Bajhang, Dadeldhura, Dolakha, Ramechhap, Udayapur, Kapilvastu, Nawalparasi, Bara, Parsa, Khotang, Rasuwa, Kaski, Dailekh, Surkhet, Gulmi, Rupandehi, Mahottari, Sarlahi, Baglung, Gorkha, Sangja, Tanahun, Dang, Sindhuli, Makwanpur, Rautahat.

Meanwhile, 124 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in various health facilities across the nation were discharged in the last 24 hours after recovering from the virus infection. The recovery rate now stands at 66.1 per cent.

Currently, there are 8,193 active cases of COVID-19 and 14,448 persons, mostly those who had returned from abroad, are in quarantine.

With this, the national COVID-19 tally has reached 26,019 including 17,201 cases of recovery and 102 death cases.
