Threes children die : Submerged in mud

Jhapa July 23 :

Three children have lost their life in the area of marshy land in Bhadrapoor. The bodies were submerged in mud.

The children who went to play yesterday afternoon were drowned in the area of marshy land. (Seemsar Area).

The deceased have been identified as Ankush Tamang, 10, son of local Anil Tamang, Karan Thami, 14, sons of Kamala Thami and his brother Arjun Thami, 12.

Locals of Bhadrapur-2 have protested against the negligence of the local government, border management committee and contractor.

They have demanded that – the local government, border management committee and the contractor should take the responsibility for the incident. Therefore, Locals have chanted slogans demanding compensation and action for the family of the deceased.

The locals have refused to take the bodies quoting the negligence of the local government, border management and the contractor. Ankush’s body was found drowning last night similarly, the bodies of Karan and his brother Arjun were found today.

“The local government, the border management committee and the contractor should take responsibility for the incident,” said Samar Thulung Rai.
