Sixteen people die from natural disasters in Sudurpaschim State in one month

Kailali, July 24

Sixteen people have died from natural disasters and snakebite in Sudurpaschim State in one month, according to data with the national emergency operation center under the Home Ministry.

Eighteen people have been injured in the disasters. Flooding has displaced 67 families. Eleven people were killed after being buried by landslides at various places.

One is missing in the disaster. Seven people have been killed in landslides and flooding in Bajhang. One is missing in a landslide. Three persons died and five others were injured in landslide and flooding in Darchula.

Nine families were displaced by flooding and landslides in the district. Two died in landslide and flooding in Bajura district.

Twenty families have been affected by the disasters in the district.

Fourteen families have been affected by the disasters in Kailali district and two in Kanchanpur district.
