NCP standing committee meeting put off till 3pm

The meeting of the ruing Nepal Communist Party (NCP) standing committee has been postponed till 3 pm today again. Before this the meeting was called for 11am at the Prime Minister’s official residence at Baluwatar.

NCP publicity and publication department deputy chief Surya Thapa informed that the meeting has been put off till 3 pm today. The standing committee meeting is being postponed time and again after the party chair duo KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ failed to resolve the dispute in the party. The standing committee meeting scheduled for July 10 had been postponed for today issuing directives to the entire party rank and file to involved in rescue and relief works in the aftermath of the loss of life and property in some districts including Sindhupalchok due to flood and landslide triggered by heavy monsoon rain throughout the country.

Party spokesperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha had informed this through his twitter handle. The top leaders of the party are continuing the discussions for sorting out the internal differences in the party.

Although party chairman and Prime Minister Oli and another chairman Dahal have been in consultations on a daily basis in the last few days on the topic of coordination between the party and the government, they have not reached a conclusion yet. The fifth meeting of the NCP standing committee started on June 24.
