A modern Snakebite Treatment Centre is going to be constructed at Sudurpaschim Regional Police Hospital, Dipayal, with support of Social Development Ministry, Sudurpaschim state government.
The treatment centre is to be constructed keeping the snakebite patients of Achham, Bajura, Dadeldhura and Doti districts in mind.
Mayor of Dipayal Silgadhi, Manju Malasi, said that the treatment centre would be constructed with Rs 2.1 million allocated by the Social Development Ministry with coordination of the municipality.
Malasi shared that the modern snakebite treatment centre is going to be constructed in seven hilly districts for the first time.
The Social Development Ministry at the initiative of Dipayal Silgadhi municipality is going to construct the treatment centre after number of people losing their lives from snakebite started increasing every year in hilly districts including Doti, said officiating executive chief of the municipality, Khemraj Gurung.
