KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda have three-hour conversation in Baluwatar

Kathmandu July 3:

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and party president Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ have a three-hour conversation in Baluwatar.

Attempts have been made to reach a consensus with the ruling CPN over the demand for the resignation of CPN Chairman and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

 CPN, General Secretary Bishnu Poudel and Standing Committee Member Janardan Sharma are also present at the discussion. It is held at the PM’s residence from 12 noon. In that context, various options were discussed to find a dignified solution to the ongoing dispute within the party.

  A source in Baluwatar has said that the two chairpersons will resume talks before the standing committee meeting tomorrow.

 A meeting of the CPN Standing Committee has been called for 11 am tomorrow.

 Since this morning, the second and third tier leaders of Prime Minister Oli’s party and Chairman Prachanda and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal’s party have also been holding an internal meeting to decide the next strategy..

 Central members have staged a sit-in at the party’s central office in Dhumbarahi demanding that party unity not be jeopardized.

  In the party, the meeting of the second tier leaders of the CPN should resolve the current disputes being based on the agreement reached on November 19 and 20.

The meeting is held at the residence of CPN leader and Agriculture Minister Ghanshyam Bhusal this morning.
