Heavy rainfall through out country

Kathmandu, July 20:

There is a continuous and heavy rainfall all over the country according to the Water and Weather Forecast Division.

There is more rainfall mainly in Province No. 2, Bagmati, Gandaki and Province No. 5. including many places of Bara, Parsa and Rautahat of State-2.

Extreme levels of rainfall are expected in the Lalbakaiya and other small rivers, according to the Flood Forecast Division.The department has further urged to be alert in these regions as continuous rainfall may cause landslide and soil erosion which might result the damage of life and property.

The department has urged to be vigilant as there may be sudden floods in the coastal areas of Arunkhola, Giruwari Khola and small rivers of Nawalparasi.

Similarly, there is a possibility of flood up to Mahakali Dobhan of Dadeldhura Ranghun.Moderate rain is falling in many parts of Kathmandu Valley.

The rivers like Bishnumati, Manohara, Hanumante and Nakhu are near flood alert. The Flood Forecast Division has urged to be on high alert in the river banks and low lying areas.
