Fear and Challenges of Jamsikhel Gathering

In opposition to Prime Minister and party chairman KP Sharma Oli, 31 standing committee members of the ruling Nepal Communist Party (CPN) gathered  on Wednesday evening.

And, senior leaders have expressed their support for the petition of the resignation of PM Oli from both the post prime minister and party chairman.

The seventeen leaders including Chairman Prachanda, senior leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jhala Nath Khanal and Vice Chairman Bamdev Gautam had questioned Prime Minister Oli’s latest statements at the meeting, on Tuesday. They are asking for his resignation for both the post president and prime minister.

 Leaders who postponed Wednesday’s standing committee met separately in the evening. The meeting was held at a restaurant in Jamsikhel, Lalitpur .  It was attended by 30 members of the standing committee, including members of the secretariat. One of the leaders who participated in the meeting informed that all the members have made a strategy to create  negative pressure on  Prime Minister Oli for his resignation . KP Sharma Oli has started formulating a strategy to avert a possible crisis after the chair of the Prime Minister and Chairman was vacated due to his own reasons.
