Gandaki State Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung has said the bureaucrats play an important role in the people-oriented administration.

Honouring the best civil servants on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Gandaki State here today, CM Gurung asserted that bureaucrats play effective role on implementation of government’s decisions, programmes and plans.

Stating that state government had taken up a policy to reward the best performing bureaucrats so as to further motivate them, Gurung was confident that such action would make them further dedicated and responsible to discharge their duties.

On a different note, he shared that the State government was going to make the district hospital in Pokhara more resourceful and use it for the prevention and control of the COVID-19. On the occasion, the CM bid farewell to Hari Prasad Basyal who served as the secretary of the CM in Gandaki State.

Basyal will be shouldering the responsibility of secretary of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
