Prime minister KP Oli restrain himself from attending, NCP meeting.

Kathmandu, June 26

The meeting of ruling Nepal communist Party is currently under way in Bluwatar. Prime Minister and Party Chairman KP Sharma Oli is absent at today’s meeting. According to sources in Baluwatar, Prime Minister Oli was absent saying that another chairman Prachanda would chair the meeting.

A meeting held on Wednesday had set seven agendas for the meeting today. The agendas include MCC, control of COVID-19, its prevention and treatment, Nepal’s border issue, government’s performance, review of party’s activities and remaining works of organizational merger among others.

The ruling party is alienated regarding the issue of MCC. Party chairman, Puspha Kamal Dahal, senior leaders Jhalanath Khanal, Madhav Kumar Nepal, party leader Bhim Rawal and others are against the endorsement of the MCC. While PM K P Oli, Defense Minister Ishwor Pokhrel, Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali and others are in favor of ratifying it.
