The Palpa-Butwal section along Siddhartha Highway has been obstructed with a landslide occurred near the Siddhababa this morning. The District Police Office, Palpa said the landslide triggered by incessant rain at Tinanu Rural Municipality blocked the highway. Rain continues to take place, hindering the effort to clear the debris, Office’s Deputy Superintendent of Police Madan Giri said. Meanwhile, the Tansen-Rampur road section has also come to a halt following a landslide at Chhapgaira of Purbakhola Rural Municipality-1. According to DSP Giri, the rainfall is taking place and landslide continues to bring down rocks. Passengers have been left stranded in the midway due to the disaster.
