Financial support to ailing migrant worker in Japan

Tokyo, June 26

The Galkot Society Japan has extended a helping hand to ailing Karan Kandel from Baglung who has been under treatment at the Tokyo-based hospital in Japan for long. Kandel, a permanent resident from Tarakhola-3, Baglung had arrived Japan a few years back in connection to foreign employment. He was hospitalized after his liver failed to function properly. It is said his health condition is further worsening and he is facing additional financial crisis to afford his treatment. Society chair Dil Khatri has launched a fundraising campaign for the support of ailing Kandel. On Friday, the society handed around Rs 400 thousand to him. It may be noted that the society is constructing a building to be used as an eye treatment at Harichaur of Galkot municipality-5 in Baglung.
